New technology in Veterinary Medicine!

New technology in veterary medicine
Imagine if your pet could swallow this ‘pill’ which contains a camera and we could get a video recording of the inside of their intestinal system!

Well the technology is here! We have just come across a company in the US (Alicam) that produces these pill cameras.

An email is on its way enquiring into costs etc but if it’s affordable it would change the way we investigate pets with gut problems – seeing the entire intestine with no anaesthetic!

The futures here!

Only one bit of bad news…someone has to find it when it comes out the other end and unfortunately they will be at home when that happens!

Sorry!

Charlie and Andrew ready for the public to arrive!

Donview Vets had a successful day today at Countryside Live 2016 at Uppermill Farm in Kintore. Thousands of people visited the farm from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to learn about the day to day running of a working farm. Donview Vets handed out over 300 goody bags to visitors and we had a lot of our equipment on display for the children to try out. We also had a competition – guess the name of our practice mascot!
The photo above is of the stand set up and ready before the public arrived. Andrew and Charlie were so busy that they had to call in Charlie’s family to help out – Daina (one of our part time Vets) was helping on the stand and their kids were handing out the goody bags!

Puppies have fun at Donview Vets puppy parties!

Puppies have fun at Donview Vets puppy parties!

All the puppies had great fun at our puppy party last night. The puppies had a huge play session as their owners got a tour of the practice. Puppies and owners all enjoyed the party, apparently the puppies had a great nights sleep afterwards!

Puppy parties are held once a month for puppies that have had their second vaccinations at Donview. Puppies get to socialise with other puppies, you get a tour of the practice and the Vets and Nurses up date you on the best way to care for your new family member.

If you are interested in signing your puppy up call us on 01467 621429
